As you may know, I happen to be the
proud Mom of Kaeleigh Smith, Capeway Distinguished Young Women 2014.
Kaeleigh is a life-long Girl Scout and a Gold Award Recipient.
Because
of our affiliation with both programs, we were asked to coordinate the
East and West Bridgewater Girl Scouts to invite them to be part of the
Distinguished Young Women 2015 Be Your Best Self Program. This is year's
program was created by Kaeleigh Smith. It is time for final numbers so
that enough supplies can be purchased.
The program will take place at West Bridgewater High School on November 15th at 11:00.
There is no cost to participate. The girls will be given a
complimentary ticket to come back at night to see the program. They will
be called up on stage during the evening to be recognized and given a
patch.
"Distinguished
Young Women of Massachusetts is an official state preliminary of
Distinguished Young Women, a national scholarship program that promotes
and rewards scholarship, leadership and talent in young women. In
addition to earning scholarships for college, those who participate in
the Distinguished Young Women program develop friendships,
self-confidence and other life skills that pave the way for future
success. The Distinguished Young Women experience is open to every
eligible young woman and there is no cost to participate."
If
you have any questions or would like your daughter to attend, please
contact either Kaeleigh or myself. We need final numbers by November 7th.
